No big celebrations in the British media, but the Wall Street Journal has an <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB123085958750448009.html\">excellent article<\/a>, calling for a return to the Bretton-Woods system.  Well worth a read.<\/p>\n<p>Returning to the UK, a majority of Brits for some strange reason still <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/world\/2009\/jan\/02\/euro-public-support-poll-sterling\">don&#8217;t want to join<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not that I think this moment is right for joining anyway &ndash; I think the pound should join at around \u00a31 = \u20ac1.50, but that could be achieved fairly easily by setting a target rate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coca Cola &amp; Euro Originally uploaded by Erik Pettinari Yesterday Slovakia joined the euro, becoming the 16th member.
