I kept getting an error message from <tt>codesign<\/tt>: \u201cobject file format invalid or unsuitable\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>At first I thought it had something to do with my provisioning profile or something, or perhaps that my iPod was too old to work with the newest Xcode, but the error turned out to be quite different, obscure, yet simple to fix.<\/p>\n<p>I found the solution in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.martianstorm.com\/wordpress\/?p=96\">Martian Storm<\/a>.  Somehow <tt>\/usr\/bin\/codesign_allocate<\/tt> had been deleted (or never created), so I needed to issue the command<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><code>sudo ln -s \/Developer\/Platforms\/iPhoneOS.platform\/Developer\/usr\/bin\/codesign_allocate \/usr\/bin<\/code><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That was all that was wrong &ndash; it works beautifully now!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>iX-ray Originally uploaded by slowburn?
